There
are many new and exciting developments occurring in the hospitals
affiliated with AMV Radiology.
The new Peterborough Regional Health Centre opened in June 2008. The Imaging Department is completely digital and includes 2 64 slice CT scanners, 3 digital mammography units, 2 R/F rooms, 4 general radiography rooms, 5 ultrasound units, brand new 1.5 Tesla MR unit, 2 interventional suites, nuclear medicine division with SPECT and CT-SPECT capabilities and DEXA bone mineral densitometer. Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay has completed a recent major upgrade and will be converting its mammography unit to a digital one by 2009. Minden and Haliburton hospitals have also converted their general radiography units to digital and the images are seamlessly linked to the PACS in Lindsay and Peterborough. |
